3.5. Locking and unlocking the front panel

The Settings lock feature prevents accidental changes to setting values. When the front panel is locked, some setting values may be viewed, but most cannot be changed from the front panel. ALL OFF is the only front panel function that remains active when the front panel is locked.

Locking out the ability to change settings from the front panel can be done in two ways:

  • Tap the Settings button located on the navigation panel. Then tap the Settings lock button. Finally, tap the UNLOCKED button. The status will change to LOCKED.

  • From any details page, tap the overflow icon (three vertical dots) located in the top right corner of the screen, then tap Lock.

Unlocking the front panel can be accomplished in several ways:

  • Tap the Settings button located on the navigation panel. Then tap the Settings lock button. Finally, tap the LOCKED button. The status will change to UNLOCKED.

  • From any details page, tap the lock icon located in the top right corner of the screen, then tap Unlock.

  • Outside of any details page, tap the blue lock icon located in the bottom right corner of the screen, then tap Unlock.

If the settings lock feature is enabled, and a user attempts to change a setting from the front panel, a notification will appear on the screen that says Settings locked, keypad lock enabled. Tap Unlock on this notification bar will unlock the front panel settings as well.
