7.5. Error Messages

The following are warning and error messages that may be displayed by the Model 346 during operation.

Message

Description

DISABLED

Input is disabled. Refer to Input Setup section.

NO CURVE

Input has no curve assigned. Refer to Input Setup section.

S.OVER

Input is at or over full-scale sensor units.

S.UNDER

Input is at or under negative full-scale sensor units.

T.OVER

Input at or over the high end of the curve.

T.UNDER

Input at or under the low end of the curve.

Input microprocessor communication stopped

The main microprocessor has lost communication with the sensor input microprocessor.

NOVRAM Corrupt

Invalid data or contents in NOVRAM—when this message appears, instrument settings have been reset to default.

All outputs disabled due Sensor X surpassing TLIMIT

The temperature reading on a sensor input has exceeded the Temperature Limit setting. A detailed message will follow, which includes a reference to which sensor input’s temperature limit has been exceeded.

Heater X disabled due to load out of range

A short or open circuit condition has been observed on 1 of the heater outputs. A detailed message will follow, which includes a reference to which output caused the condition. The output will be turned off when this occurs.

Output X set to closed loop due to zone error

A zone was entered into where the assocated input did not have a curve attached.

Closed loop control on Output X has been halted

  • The input used for closed loop control had a questionable reading.

  • There is no input assocated with the output.

  • An attempt was made to control with a disabled output.

  • The units changed on the input due to a curve no longer being applied, for example

Output on group X has been halted.

A heater group that is actively controlling has a new physical heater added to it.
